Youthquake 2003Another YQ come and gone! What a blast we had, once again, singing and shouting praises to Him, learning about Him, and making lots of new friends. I think we're onto something good here. And I thank Him for leading me to this great event. This year we again had loads of help from the Whitman VFW, who graciously funded the cost of the coach down to the conference. It is so refreshing to see such a beautiful bunch of people in that organization care so much for the kids in their community. That's love folks, and I truly thank them in my prayers. It was chilly down there, and there was a little bit of snow on the ground. To us Northerners, it was a taste of home. But there were a lot of people attending that had never seen snow! They were having all kinds of fun, sliding down the embankments on food trays borrowed from the cafe, having snowball fights, and other kinds of snowy frivolity. We take it for granted, but these guys were really having a blast in the stuff. It was cool to see, for sure. The conference itself was another booster shot for us, as the Holy Spirit worked all in us and around us. We sung and danced high praises to Jesus. Father Charles told us all about the love Jesus had for each and every one of us. Lark and Geoffrey kept us all cracking up with their antics. And as always, the house band kept us pumped up one minute, and soft and mellow the next, with their God-given gift of music. It was truly another fantastic experience of praise and worship. Can't wait 'till next year! If anyone wants to know more about Youthquake, visit their website, or E-Mail me! Enjoy the pics... |
